This bottle was designed by New Zealand artist Laura Shallcrass who is an artist and commercial illustrator based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Laura was born in Wellington where she trained as an illustrator and graphic designer, before traveling the world and eventually settling in Queenstown.Flora and fauna feature heavily in her work, alongside gemstones and minerals hovering, dreamlike, against scenes ethereal and yet familiar. Laura paints in oils and gouache and draws in ink and graphite, creating sparse and yet detail focused works of infinite depth and stillness.

Drinks in Chunky bottles stay cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. Chunky also partakes in a recycling program for stainless steel bottles partnered with the NZ Association of metal recyclers so if you have an old bottle or a bottle that hasn’t lasted well or has seen better days, return it to us and we will get it Chunky for recycling. Chunky stands for a circular economy and encourages manufacturing products which can be repurposed at the end of their life time.
